Eligibility Information for Students in a Professional Masters Program
Masters students in a program which is NOT overseen by TGS are eligible to apply for English Language Programs services, if space is available, but are not eligible to register for Linguistics 380 courses via CAESAR, and are given lower priority than PhD's, postodoctoral fellows, and TGS Master's students.
Examples of professional masters programs, which are NOT eligible for Linguistics 380 CAESAR registration, include, but are not limited to:
- Bienen School of Music: Music Education, Piano, Voice and Opera, and others
- Feinberg School of Medicine: Doctorate in Physical Therapy, and others
- Kellogg School of Management: MBA*, MMM, Executive MBA
- McCormick School of Engineering: Master of Product Development, MS in Project Managment, and others
- Medill School of Journalism: Integrated Marketing and Communication, Media Strategy and Leadership, and others
- School of Communication: Doctor of Audiology, MS in Communications
- School of Continuing Studies: Creative Writing MA and MFA, MS in Computer Information Systems, and more
This is not an exclusive or exhaustive list of professional programs. Please contact elp@northwestern.edu if you are unsure whether you are enrolled in a masters program that is eligible for CAESAR registration.
Professional masters students must enroll as auditors. Online applications will be accepted from professional masters students during the next affiliate registration period on our registration page. Auditors participate fully in the class and should expect to attend all sessions of the course. Auditors who miss two consecutive sessions of the course without notice or three sessions total may be dropped from the course.
Applications for all other services, including tutoring and NativeAccent speech training software, will also be accepted from professional masters students during the affiliate registration period on our registration page.
