Eligibility Information for Postdoctoral Fellows
As part of The Graduate School community, postdoctoral fellows and visiting postdoctoral fellows are given priority for English Language Programs services, in order to help them improve their communication for participation in their teaching and research activities. Research associates doing postdoctoral work are not eligible for priority registration.
Although postdoctoral fellows are not able to register for Linguistics 380 classes on CAESAR, they may audit these courses and participate fully, including getting access to Northwestern's course management system, Canvas. Postdocs are considered part of The Graduate School cohort and have priority in registration over Northwestern affiliates. Postdocs may apply to audit Lingustics 380 classes during the next TGS cohort registration period on our registration page. Group classes are offered year round.
Postdoctoral fellows are also given priority for all other langauge services, including tutoring, and NativeAccent™ speech training software. Postdocs can apply online for these services during the TGS Cohort registration period registration page.
